DionoDiono Company Donates Booster Seats To Local Families on July 25, 2018. Diono, donated $30,000 worth of booster seats to two local non-profit organizations namely WestSide Baby and Treehouse. The Pacific Northwest’s award winning designer and manufacturer of car seats and strollers for babies will provide the booster seats to underprivileged families and foster children. The booster seat donation pick-up was held on July 24th at 2:00 PM at Diono’s headquarters in Sumner, WA.

The Roxy in Encinitas to Host June 13 Benefit for Local Cancer Programs

The Roxy Grand Opening BenefitAfter an extensive remodel, iconic North County restaurant The Roxy Encinitas will celebrate its official grand opening with a special event to benefit the Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center and The Seany Foundation on Tuesday, June 13, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Famous for its falafel burgers, The Roxy has been a fixture in the Encinitas community since opening in 1978 at 517 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, 92024.  In recent months, the restaurant’s premises have been remodeled in the jazz and art deco style of the 1920s. The Roxy has also expanded its food and beverage offerings and now offers live music nightly, as well as weekend brunch.

Dave’s Killer Bread Foundation to Hold Second Chance Summit in Seattle

WHAT:           The Dave’s Killer Bread Foundation (DKB Foundation) will host two days of events to demonstrate the benefits for businesses, individuals and society when people with criminal backgrounds are given employment opportunities. With the support of Northwest icon Dave’s Killer Bread (the rebel organic baker that employs nearly 100 people with criminal backgrounds at its Oregon bakery), the DKB Foundation is partnering with FareStart, the IF Project, Mod Pizza, Uber, National Employment Law Project and the City of Seattle to cultivate a dialogue around the potential in people with backgrounds and the ability of businesses to create positive change by offering them jobs.

Thousands of cyclists from across Western Washington converge on the Skagit Valley on Sept. 10 and 11 toward a united goal to stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever at Bike MS: Deception Pass Classic, presented locally by Concur and the Singh Family Foundation and hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Some 2,000 cyclists will take part and have set their sights on raising more than $1.8 million. The event starts and finishes at the Skagit County Fairgrounds, 479 West Taylor St. in Mount Vernon. For more details and to register, visit bikeMS.org.
